Rotamah Island Australia Day Cruise on the public holiday Monday 28th January 2019

The GLCBC visited Rotamah Island to celebrate the awesomeness of everything Australian with a whole bunch of members and friends. Guests all participated by bringing along heaps of meat for the BBQ and some Eskys full of nice cold frothy beers.

Originally, the destination was for Resides Jetty on Raymond Island, but a wind direction SE caused the event organisers to relocate the event to nearby and sheltered Rotamah Island as a precaution and to ensure the comfort of our members.

In keeping with the Australia Day festivities, we had giveaways; and not just one, "but three" and were handed out to the following members, Denis Philp won a prize for the most and best decorated "Australia Day" boat, Denis won a couple of bottles of wine. Young Liam Hale won a $50 gift voucher from our club sponsor Riveria Marine; and finally Bill Maxwell won a voucher from Hills Marine. A big shout out and thanks to our club sponsors for their support, it's these local companies that help make the GLCBC the best boat club on the Gippsland Lakes.
