Nicholson River Overnight Boat Trip Saturday 27 Aug 2016

The Gippsland Lakes Classic Boat Club has held our first overnight club event on Saturday the 27th August 2016.

As a club, members, guests and boats plus a few "sea dogs" travelled to Nicholson on the Nicholson River to participate in our final foundation membership drive at the Nicholson hotel. Immediately after the membership drive, members and guests headed down to the BBQ facilities at the jetties and enjoyed some finger food, a few beverages and finally a social BBQ dinner where members all became acquainted with one another and formed some new friendships.

On behalf of the GLCBC committee it was overwhelming to receive such support from the Gippsland boating community for a new club, the final figures are not in yet, but we estimate the membership to be around 83 members now in total and there are still a few new memberships to come.

Prize Draw

The GLCBC would also like to congratulate Simon and Rhonda McGinley who won the prize draw proudly supplied by our friends at ZCG Scalar who donated a matching set of VHF and AM/FM Marine radio antennas.
