Metung Overnight Boat Trip Saturday 24th September 2016

The Gippsland lakes Classic Boat Club held an overnight boat trip to Metung on the Gippsland Lakes in September 2016. Some members mustered at 09:30 on the water in Paynesville and were blessed with light winds and blue skies.

Upon arrival at Metung, members gathered on the parkland and enjoyed a nice social BBQ utilising the public facilities followed by a few beverages on the foreshore and later relocated onboard "Pride" (A member boat owned by Peter and Sally of Paynesville).

Later in the evening, members joined the Metung Yacht Club for dinner in their bistro and we estimate about 30+ guests in total enjoyed the company of the MYC.

The Members and Committee of the GLCBC would like to extend a warm thanks to the MYC for hosting our club evening in Metung, we all enjoyed a nice meal and good company.
