Paynesville is one of Gippsland favorite holiday, boating and dining destinations on the Gippsland Lakes.

Paynesville is absolutely choked full of things to do see and eat, and has become one of Gippsland's favorite dining and tourism destinations on the Gippsland Lakes. Boasting a large number of quality restaurants and eateries, Paynesville is also home to the Paynesville Classic Boat Rally; an event that is hosted by the Paynesville and district community every 2 years. When in Paynesville; a causal stroll along the waterfront boardwalk looking at all the lovely boats, and then over to Raymond Island via the ferry to see the koala population is a must.

Paynesville also provides a safe lagoon for swimming, good BBQ and parkland facilities for use by the general public and showers for visiting boaties. If you are visiting Paynesville by boat, a slow cruise through the canals and waterfront residential area is well worthwhile, also a visit to the educational Maritime museum is a must.

The Bulls wharf provides fuel, water and toilet pump out facilities, there are 2 supermarkets to re-stock with supplies, the "Old Pub" and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops such as the Water View bakery and Captivations cafe; where visitors can sit down and enjoy the ambiance of the people and daily waterfront activities.
