Archer is a Boden "Flying Arrow" and was professionally built in Mordialloc in 1965. She spent the first 30 years of her life located in Mordialloc and, in the early 1990's, served with CG7 (Coast Guard) for 12 years.

During this phase of her life she was repowered with a 165 H.P. Volvo Penta Diesel and painted a very bright yellow.

When she left the duty of CG7 and was relocated to Patterson Lakes, she fell into a state of neglect.

In July 2014 a local Gippsland resident Jeff Howard heard that she was available for purchase and went to Patterson Lakes to have a look at her.

On the 1st August 2014 (the coldest and most miserable day of the year) she was trucked back to Paynesville and loaded onto a yard trailer in a yard in Slip road.

After 12 months of very hard work and with the assistance of some very nice people, Archer (as she was renamed), was back in the water looking better than ever and off to her new home in Newlands Arm.

Archer is used frequently and has recently just clocked over 100 running hours since being re-launched.
