Rangi YW03 Bulls Lakes Cruiser was built by the Bulls family of Metung in 1933 for Mr C.J. Stanly Low. Originally Rangi was a 24 foot LOA with a beam of 8’6” power by a 6 cylinder “Invincible” engine and cost a mere 460 pounds.

Shortly after her construction Rangi was cut amidships and lengthened to 30 foot.  Rangi was later purchased by Mr Tim Dwyer and then sold to Tim’s son Barry Dwyer for an undisclosed sum.

After many years Rangi was passed over to Mr Ken Smith of Metung who was her custodian for 30 + years before handing her back to Barry Dwyer who repowered her with a Perkins 4-108 diesel in addition to a major restoration.

In Barry’s words after her restoration “Good Jigga eh” and was frequented by Barry and “crew” who enjoyed a rest on the rear deck with a nice cold beer or 10.

After Barry’s passing, Rangi was purchased by Peter and Vanessa Spencer of Eagle Point, Rangi is frequently exploring the Gippsland Lakes and is enjoyed by many.
