26th February 2017

The Tambo River was home to the GLCBC as our club completed part 3 of our “3 rivers exploration adventures” on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of February 2017.

After calling into the Harry Clues Memorial Park to pick up a few members who arrived by car; a total 13 boats and passengers headed upstream to the spectacular Tambo Cliffs for a BBQ lunch and a bit of a relax.

After lunch, members and boats headed back down stream and pulled up for the night at the Harry Clues Memorial Park; utilizing the new jetty facilities that are able to accommodate a large number of vessels. Enjoying the parkland, members engaged in a brutal game of volleyball, clearly there was some room for skills improvement and the game was declared a draw of “Zero All” after about 1 hour.

GLCBC members then returned to the jetty facility and engaged in more relaxing social drinks and snacks, before the BBQ’s were fired up and dinner was served.

The following morning, members were greeted by a beautiful sunny morning and re-grouped for morning coffee on the jetty before making way back to home-ports.
