Australia Day 2021 on the Tambo River.

Blessed with sensational weather, a whole bunch of GLCBC members visited the Parkland facilities at the Harry Clues Memorial Park on the Tambo River, Johnsonville to celebrate Australia Day 2021. 

Socialising around the beaute barbecue facilities, members enjoyed a wonderful barbecue lunch chatting amongst each other after a long separation due to Covid. Later in the day members participated in the GLCBC annual “Thong Toss” and this year was won by new member Jon Richardson who picked up a $100 gift voucher defeating the reigning champion Doug Gillickson from the previous year. To further add to our games themed day a second competition the “jellybean count” was won by foundation member Tony Dodson. 

The members and committee of the GLCBC would like to extend a huge thank you to the local community at Johnsonville for making us feel so welcome at their beautiful parkland and boating facilities on the Gippsland Lakes, we look forward to many visits in the future.
