Australia Day 2020 and the great GLCBC "Thong Toss"

To celebrate Australia Day 2020, members of the GLCBC boarded our boats and set sail to the Harry Clues Memorial Park on the Tambo River Johnsonville.

To inspire a traditional Australian themed festival, members battled for victory in the great Australian thong toss, A GLCBC game similar to that of bocce and lawn bowls where members are required to throw an Australian printed thong towards a Darwin stubby. The member whose thong lands closest to the stubby is deemed the winner. In addition to land based sporting festivities members also enjoyed a fantastic barbecue utilising the newly renovated parklands and facilities. All in all we had a fantastic weekend sharing good times with good friends.
