GLCBC - AGM and committee elections 2021 - 2022

The Annual General Meeting and committee elections of the Gippsland Lakes Classic Boat Club Inc. (GLCBC) were held on Saturday 29th January 2022 at 2:00pm at the Nicholson Jetties, Nicholson.

 

As we say goodby to another year, we had the formalities of the AGM, followed by a transition of committee members as we elect fresh blood to encourage change and new ideas that we hope will prevent the club from becoming stale over time.

 

President Graeme Louden addressed the members present and delivered a talk about the club, our committee and the challenges associated in relation to navigating the impacts of Covid and social restrictions, and how the club as a whole has survived and still managed to continue with a promising future. Graeme also thanked and acknowledged the contributions of the past committee, especially those that have stepped back making way for some new faces, our committee has worked very well together as a team through a difficult past year. A surprise token of thanks was awarded to long term committee members Jeff Howard and Grant Ottaway with a gift card for Hills Marine and Leisure in recognition of 5-Years service and contribution to the GLCBC. (Note: both Jeff and I would like to thank those for the recognition, a gift was not necessary but very much appreciated)

 

Susan Hofmeyer as treasurer read out the financial summaries for the past year, along with general business relating to our club activities. For those who were unable to attend a copy of the minutes is available upon request by contacting secretary@glcbc.org.au

The elected GLCBC and committee would like to welcome Doug Gullickson, In addition to being a top bloke; Doug brings considerable boating expertise and is one of the early foundation members of the GLCBC.
